El Chapo Review is a literary journal which believes in giving back to the community. We pay professional rates. $100 – $500. Highest paying online literary journal on Earth (which NEVER charges submission fees). At least 10¢ per word. Sometimes as high as 88¢/word. We dream of one day paying writers $20 per word. We’ll be around at least 200 years. We shall pay authors at least $300,000. We shall neither crowdfund, nor ask for funds.
We will read anything. Any genre. It makes no difference. We love great writing above all else. As Truman Capote said, “To me, the greatest pleasure of writing is not what it’s about, but the inner music that words make.”
